Diesen "verrückten" Bentley gibt es mit Sicherheit nur einmal auf der
Welt. Einem "spleenigen" Amerikaner aus Hollywood war sein Bentley zu
spießig und beauftragte den damaligen "coachbuilder" Sunrise Motors in
Los Angeles, Stilelemente eines Vorkriegs-Monoposto-Rennwagens in sein
Fahrzeug einfließen zu lassen. Das Ergebnis war und ist dieser sehr
spezielle Bentley S 1 Special Roadster wie er hiermit angeboten wird.
Karosserieumbauten waren in der damaligen Zeit nichts Ungewöhnliches. In
England entstanden ebenfalls die skurrielsten Exemplare. Dieser
Roadster ist das amerikanische Beispiel für die "verrückte" Stil-Studie
eines U.S. Millionärs, der etwas ganz besonderes haben wollte und das
auch bezahlen konnte. Dieses linksgelenkte Auto paßt aber auch nach
Deutschland und wartet nun auf einen etwas "schrägen" Autoliebhaber, der
sich bewusst absetzen möchte von dem normalen "Allerlei" in der
Oldtimerszene. … und wer sich noch für ähnliche oder etwas
