History of the Fiat 600 D Vignale Spider

Not in beautiful Italy, but during the Geneva Salon, the Fiat 600 celebrated the base version, its world premiere. The innovative rear engine layout, independent suspension all around, a new self-supporting body, as well as quite lively performance, were responsible for its enormous economic success. This also attracted the interest of tuners like Abarth and high-end coachbuilders like Zagato, Allemano, Pininfarina, Viotti, Ghia, and Savio. They produced more or less successful designs. Undoubtedly, the design by Carozzeria Vignale remains something very special to this day. Vignale not only designed a beautiful coupe but also a charming open version, the Spider. They were offered in Germany as Jagst Fiat Riviera Spider. Experts estimate that only 100 Spiders were built, of which perhaps only a third still exist today.

History of the Fiat Vignale Spider

On July 8, 1963, this Spider was first delivered and registered in Mantova, with license plate MN 70165. In 2013, it was completely restored by Carozzeria Stella in Quingentole - Mantova and, after completion in 2014, became part of one of the most significant collections in Germany. Technically and visually flawless, driven only 300 km after restoration, this Spider presents itself in a fantastic condition. A true time capsule. Currently, this small sports car has Italian registration documents:certificato di proprietà and registration certificate. We are happy to assist the future owner in registering this Fiat in Germany.
