Nimbus introduces the new 12 series
All You Love, Only More
The evolution of our most successful series
Nimbus Boats announces the 12 series with significant design updates across all three models: Weekender 12, Tender 12, and Commuter 12. Distinctive new exterior design features, redesigned custom helm seats with enhanced ergonomics, and an extended aft platform.
Joacim Gustavsson Chief Designer at Nimbus Boats says,
"Our owners told us what they loved most. The 12 Series delivers more of exactly that. These aren't changes for the sake of change. They're refinements that serve ease of use, social connection, and time together on the water."
"When something is loved, you don't replace it. You refine it. Every change in the 12 Series traces back to how our owners actually use their boats. You might not notice every change at first glance, but you feel them as soon as you step on board, that sense of ease, of everything being exactly where it should be."
Beyond the visible changes, the extended swim platform, new helm seats, and striking exterior design with stainless steel décor enhance ventilation, lighting, sound routing, and serviceability.
The new Mercury Joystick Piloting facilitates intuitive system monitoring, with joystick control and integrated bow thruster available across the range with Mercury outboards. Volvo Penta inboards are available on both Commuter 12 and Tender 12, with an optional assisted docking package with joystick control. Both systems make close-quarter maneuvering effortless and safe.
The optional hydraulic swim platform for outboard engines brings guests closer to the water and serves as a passerelle when moored. New windscreen wiper systems and updated illumination enhance visibility and ambiance across all models. New aft deck seating arrangement with side cushions creates additional seating possibilities on the aft sides of the deck, transforming storage areas into comfortable social spaces.
The 12 Series builds on the award-winning design introduced with the 11 Series, maintaining the low planning threshold and exceptional seaworthy performance. The air-lubricated twin-stepped hull delivers handling you can trust at 45+ knots speed while running dry and stable in real conditions.
The 12 Series is designed for experienced boaters who value Scandinavian design, time together, and reliable quality. Whether it's a weekend with family, a day out with friends, extended cruising with those who matter most, or quiet moments at anchor, the 12 Series serves those who appreciate thoughtful design and the freedom to enjoy the water on their own terms.
Each model serves its purpose with precision:
All three models provide exceptional freedom of movement and spacious layouts with flexible seating arrangements that have become signatures of the series.
The W12 features the new Targa version with canopy in the style of the iconic Nimbus 32 Ballista, bringing heritage design into modern functionality. The starboard side balcony creates openness and flow for relaxation and entertaining.
The T12 receives the most extensive updates. The new T-top is both wider and longer, providing enhanced shading and giving the T12 a completely new profile. With integrated solar panels and acrylic see-through sections with sunblock, it combines functionality with modern aesthetics. The T12 now features a side balcony on the starboard side, extending the social space when at anchor. For the first time, the T12 can be fitted with dual Mercury V10 425hp engines, delivering exceptional performance for those who demand more power.
The C12's redesigned aft deck offers more usable space with a folding backrest on the aft sofa. The deck salon with galley-up configuration and curtains enhances all-weather capability for year-round use.
The 12 Series is available to order immediately through Approved Boats. The boats will make their public debut at Boot Düsseldorf in January 2026. Production begins in Q1 2026.
