The Mochi Craft is often misunderstood as a different-looking type of yacht that only appeals to particular boaters but if you speak to a Mochi owner you will realize that nothing else comes close in terms of quality and seaworthiness.
The price tag of this Mochi Dolphin 64 would have been over 3 million when new.
A clear indication of how the Ferretti Group valued that Mochi brand so much. The Escape although built in 2007 was only first used in 2009.
The owner previously owned a Mochi 44 and when he decided to upgrade he would only consider a Mochi. So much care has been taken on this boat which he uses for most of the summer whereupon he ventures all the way to Greece for months at a time with his wife as his first mate and no-one else. He boasts about the number of occasions he could cruise happily at 20+ knots in a force 4-5 while other yachts doing the same trip with him had to reduce speed to 10-12 knots to avoid the normal slamming you would experience on any other brand of yacht.
If you are not in a hurry and want to cruise at slower speeds then you can take comfort in the fact that the boat only consumes 38 litres of fuel per hour at 9.6 knots. He has installed 6 large solar panels which basically run the boat through the day without the need for a generator unless cooking or starting the A/Cs.
With Mochi craft a prospective buyer needs to come and feel it and more importantly try the boat on the water. Once youve been out on a seatrail you will be sold.
