Vehicle description (by seller)

The Porsche 944 Series 1 was produced from 1982 to 1985 and marked an important step in the development of Porsche's transaxle series. Building on the 924, the 944 not only featured a significantly sportier design but also a completely new engine. Instead of the earlier Audi four-cylinder, a Porsche-developed 2.5-liter inline-four engine was used, producing around 163 PS – a noticeable increase in power that contributed to a more dynamic driving experience. The design of the 944 was characterized by flared fenders, a distinctive front with pop-up headlights, and the typical low silhouette. Technically, the car was based on the transaxle principle, with the engine at the front and the transmission at the rear, resulting in an almost ideal weight distribution. This made the 944 not only fast but also excellently balanced and easy to handle – a true sports car for the road. Today, the Porsche 944 is a sought-after classic that offers an entry into the Porsche world with a relatively moderate price and authentic 80s charm. This Porsche 944 was first registered in February 1982 in the south of Germany. Since 1987, the car has been demonstrably deregistered every winter. Accordingly, the condition of the bodywork and the underbody is also reflected. In total, the car has four documented owners. (All vehicle documents are available) Technically and visually, the car is in good condition. The mileage is documented, and there is a large folder with various invoices and HU/AU reports. A birth certificate from Porsche is also available, confirming "matching numbers." Upon purchase, theStill undergoing a major inspection with a new timing belt.
Two valuation reports from 2011 and 2021 are available. In both, the Porsche was classified as a 2. Nothing has changed in this condition to this day.
