Model Knowledge

In September 1963, the Giulia Sprint GT was presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. With its straightforward and unadorned design by the young Giorgio Giugiaro, who worked for Nuccio Bertone at the time, it remains a real eye-catcher to this day. Technically, Alfa engineers relied on proven and high-quality components, such as a double overhead camshaft four-cylinder engine, ZF steering, four disc brakes, independent front suspension, and a well-controlled live rear axle, which, together with the engine and a smoothly shiftable five-speed gearbox, created a perfect sporty coupe. The automotive press was enthusiastic. In 1964, Automobil Revue wrote: "... you soon feel very confident, and you appreciate the agility and excellent road holding of the car, which compensates for even rough driving errors without the rear or front breaking out." Manfred Jancke added in "auto, motor und sport": "It seems that Alfa sports cars are built by people who enjoy driving fast themselves." With DM 17,000, this Alfa coupe was a very affordable offer. Various engine options were offered by Alfa Romeo over the years, starting from the entry-level 1300, through the 1600, 1750, and later also the 2000 GT. A successful sports coupe with a strong dose of racing DNA.

History of the offered Alfa Romeo 1750

Once a year, we restore, among other things, an Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce. This beautiful coupe designed by Bertone is one of our favorites. In sunny France, we found a 1750 GT from the second series. This vehicle was stored in a barn by its second and last owner for twenty years. The plan for this beautiful coupeto restore, was repeatedly delayed. Now we had the opportunity to acquire this vehicle and have just transferred it to our partner workshop for the necessary body restoration. This Alfa is completely unwelded and, after an initial inspection, has never been involved in an accident. However, rust has taken its toll, so some welding work is necessary, and original repair panels will be used. Its original color is "Blu Olandese Code AR343". If a new owner is found now, we still have the possibility to accommodate special color requests or modifications.

In addition to the complete bodywork, we will of course professionally overhaul the entire engine along with its auxiliary units, the transmission, as well as the chassis and brakes. The entire electrical system and instrumentation will also be restored. All new seals, new tires, and a new sports exhaust will complete the offer. The interior would be reupholstered with new brown artificial leather, and the carpets and door panels will be renewed. Additionally, we plan to fit the stylish GTA wheels with new tires. As an extra "gimmick," the underbody would even be painted in the car color and sealed with transparent wax. No costs or effort will be spared. Like its restored predecessors, this Alfa Romeo 1750 is an absolute "head-turner" and a ladies' magnet even today. You have the opportunity to secure this 1750 GT Veloce - upon completion and delivery in new car condition - now. Only a 15% deposit is required, and you will be involved in planning and realization.

This Bertone coupe forever exudes the typical ItalianCharm & Flair. Bella macchina! ...and we will not stop breathing new life into these icons.
