This extraordinary Stutz Blackhawk coupe dates from 1974 and is among the rarest luxury automobiles of its era. Vehicles of the Stutz brand were the most expensive American series cars at the time – significantly more expensive than a Rolls-Royce – and were exclusively delivered to an extremely exclusive clientele. The Blackhawk was handcrafted in Turin, with around 1,500 hours of work invested in each body. Built on a Pontiac chassis, the vehicle features a completely redesigned, Italian-shaped body, combined with a powerful 7.5-liter V8 and the typical, opulent design by Virgil Exner. Numerous 24-karat gold-plated details adorn the interior.
This car is not just a vehicle – it is a spectacle. A status symbol that only very few people could or were allowed to drive in the 1970s. Famous personalities such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin chose this very model because of its spectacular appearance, presence, and uncompromising exclusivity.
