The IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition “Antoine de Saint Exupéry” IW503801 (2016, strictly limited to 250 pieces worldwide) is the most exclusive and beautiful Saint-Exupéry Big Pilot ever created. Crafted in warm Stainless Steel with a massive 46 mm × 15.7 mm case, it features the iconic tobacco-brown sunburst dial — the signature color of all Saint-Exupéry editions — that shifts from deep espresso to glowing amber under light.

This is a full perpetual calendar with Kurt Klaus’s legendary module: four sub-dials show day + power-reserve at 9, four-digit year + date at 12, month at 3, and the poetic double moonphase (northern & southern hemispheres) at 6 o’clock. It automatically recognizes leap years and is correct until 2100. The in-house Calibre 51614 delivers a 7-day (168-hour) power reserve via twin barrels and Pellaton winding with ceramic components. Soft-iron inner cage, oversized luminous hands, massive cone crown, and a caseback engraved with Saint-Exupéry’s Caudron Simoun aircraft complete the aviation romance.

Delivered on a brown Santoni alligator strap with Stainless Steel folding clasp, the IW503801 is the absolute pinnacle of luxury pilot complications. With only 250 pieces ever made and long discontinued, it is a true modern grail.
