This BMW 600 was first registered on July 30, 1958, and is the larger sibling of the iconic Isetta. This example underwent a professional restoration in the past and combines its distinctive styling with the authentic character of a 1950s microcar. Today, it presents itself as an appealing classic for enthusiasts who value rarity and authenticity, with room for further improvements.
The BMW 600 was developed from the Isetta by Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW). Like the Isetta, it features a large front door but also an additional side door. Its engine concept was derived from BMW’s proven motorcycle boxer engine. Production lasted only from September 1957 to November 1959 – a very short run. Marketed as a budget alternative to a larger car, many were used extensively, worn out, and discarded. This makes surviving examples extremely rare today.
