History:

In July 1975, BMW introduced the first series of the 3 Series (E21) following the 0-2. It featured a more elegant, rear spacious two-door body, and a four-door version was never produced.
The carburetor engines were initially converted to regular gasoline, which increased performance slightly but lost some elasticity.

The sedans, stylistically aligned with the 5 Series (from 1972), looked very appealing - they gained stature and prestige compared to the 0-2 predecessors, albeit at extremely high prices for this size class.

However, they were accepted by a large circle of customers - the BMW image shone again with new brilliance.

Externally, the different types were almost identical, but the 316 and 318 had simple headlights, while the 320, 320i, and 323i had double headlights.
Additionally, the six-cylinder models bore a type badge in the grille.


Vehicle Description:

A nearly 45-year-old BMW 320/6 has recently arrived, first registered in October 1977, meaning it can be considered one of the early produced 320/6 -E21- with the M20 "straight-six" inline-six engine with 1977cc.

The initial delivery was to Switzerland, where it made its very careful owners proud.

It is one of the few remaining first 3 Series (out of approximately 1.36 million produced -E21-) still in an exceptionally original condition, with just over 61,000 kilometers on the mechanical speedometer.

Technically and visually in very good condition.
