Sunbeam Tiger

History

A large-volume V8 engine in a compact, four-meter-long, beautiful roadster – only the Sunbeam Tiger offers this. Like its iconic predecessor, the AC Cobra, the compact Brit received its powerful heart personally installed by Carroll Shelby. The series production from 1964 to 1967 took place at Jensen in Wolverhampton.

The performance of the Sunbeam Tiger is still impressive today and was considered very sporty in 1965: 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds, top speed 192 km/h. Its 164 SAE-PS, approximately 150 DIN-PS, must move a relatively low vehicle weight of 1145 kilograms. The obedient base version, Sunbeam Alpine with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder, is content with 82 HP, weighing just under one ton.

This Sunbeam Tiger is registered in Germany with a H-license plate. The driving pleasure of this "underdog" is complete!
