The hotel is situated in a magnificent forest area at the beginning of the Naßfelder Valley, surrounded by mountains, high forest, and alpine pastures, with crystal-clear waterfalls flowing through the terrain.
Additionally, the hotel has its own spring for clean water, whose composition is similar to the famous Evian water. The spring is recognized as medicinal water and contains remarkably little salt and lime. It is also used in the hotel restaurant for food preparation. The water is popular for drinking due to its healthy effects.
A special delicacy of the area is the spring-fresh trout, which are bred in two large ponds on the hotel grounds in spring water and have a unique taste because of it.
In winter, there are many snowy landscapes to enjoy with a special magic of untouched nature, and in summer, many hiking and cycling trails lead to the Hohe Tauern. Mountain bikes and other equipment can be rented in the hotel lobby.
