The Rolex 16613 is a two-tone (steel and 18k yellow gold) Submariner reference that was introduced in 1988 and produced until 2009.
It replaced the 16803 and was the final two-tone Submariner with an aluminum bezel before its 2009 successor, the 116613, which featured a ceramic bezel.
Key updates during the 16613's production included the new Caliber 3135 movement, upgraded lume materials like Luminova in the late 1990s, and changes to the bracelet, such as the introduction of solid end-links (SEL) and the disappearance of lug holes.
