Azimut 50 Cruiser Overview

Azimut combines comfort, speed, and style in this new 50-foot cruiser. The 50 excels in delivering on this promise, with only the third cabin showing any compromise. Overall, it provides a complete package.

Layout and Cabin Details

The 50’s three-cabin layout features a lower-deck galley, emphasizing the master and VIP cabins. The third cabin is smaller, with full-length bunk berths and 6 feet 7 inches of headroom in the entrance area. The open-plan galley offers ample light, standing room, an opening porthole, and significant stowage.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom is a full-beam suite located amidships, featuring generous windows, a spacious head compartment, and a full-size, low-level berth. Headroom is 6 feet 4 inches in key areas, despite the complex shapes of the main deck molding. The slide-out vanity unit on the port side exemplifies Azimut's attention to detail.

VIP Stateroom

The VIP stateroom, located in the bow, is slightly less spacious than the master but still well-equipped for stowage. Both double berths lift on gas struts for storage access, complemented by additional lockers and drawers. The forward head, with a roomy shower compartment, has en suite access to the VIP and serves as a dayhead.

Galley and Living Spaces

Positioning the galley on the lower deck allows for a raised dinette opposite the helm, providing excellent views. The main-deck windows, while not as large as they appear, create a bright and comfortable deck saloon with discrete seating areas and an option for a sofa-bed conversion on the starboard side. The interior, designed by Carlo Galeazzi, features contrasting tones and textures, though additional handholds and fiddles would enhance usability.

Cockpit and Exterior Features

The spacious cockpit is protected by a large flying bridge, covering approximately 200 square feet. The foredeck includes separate seating and sunbed areas. An optional crew cabin, while limited in headroom, offers an excellent berth beneath the cockpit sofa. The hydraulic platform accommodates tenders up to 10 feet 6 inches long and weighing up to 770 pounds.
