Boat Overview

Blue Heron is a 2007 34' Mainship Hardtop trawler. She features a single Yanmar 370 HP main engine (1,000 hour service completed in April 2025), Kohler 8.5 kW generator, Onboard Solutions 2,000 watt inverter, and all new batteries in April 2025. Additional features include Side-Power bow and stern thrusters, Reverso oil change system, dripless shaft seal, hardtop covered aftdeck, a side deck access door at the helm, and an electric sunroof. Blue Heron is a Great Loop veteran.

Currently, Blue Heron is stored on the hard and shrink-wrapped for the Winter, but she is accessible for inspection.

The 1,000 hour service has just been completed on the main engine.

34' Mainship Vessel Walkthrough

From the fiberglass swimplatform, you enter the hardtop covered aftdeck via a transom gate. You will find same-level side deck access on each side, engine room access, and salon access via double aluminum & glass doors. Inside the salon, you will find the electrical panel starboard aft, hi/lo table to starboard, helm with helmseat and side deck access door starboard forward, and two chairs to port. Walk forward and step down to find the galley to port, head with enclosed shower to starboard, and the stateroom with an island queen size berth and direct access to the head with enclosed shower. Engine room access is via a hatch in the aftdeck starboard forward.

The headroom in the salon is 6'4", 6'1" in the master stateroom, 6'3" in the shower, 8'6" in the galley, and 7'5" on the aftdeck. The stateroom berth is 6'3" long.

Blue Heron offers a stateroom forward with an island queen size berth and direct access to the starboard head with enclosed shower.

34' Mainship Salon

The salon features a hi/lo table to starboard, two chairs to port, carpet (2020), opening side windows with screens and blinds, sliding screen door aft, double aluminum & glass doors aft with curtains, storage cabinet starboard aft, side deck access door starboard forward, opening center windshield, storage cabinets, and a countertop port forward. An electric sunroof is included (Inoperable).

Dining space is available at the salon hi/lo table.

34' Mainship Stateroom

The stateroom is forward and offers an island queen size berth, 2 portlights, Bomar overhead hatch with an Oceanair screen/shade, 2 X hanging lockers, storage drawers, reading lights, carpet, and direct access to the starboard head with an enclosed shower.

34' Mainship Helm

The helm is starboard forward in the salon and features a Tracy Devine Series 2002 helmseat, side deck access door, opening center windshield, bow and stern thruster controls, Faria gauges, bilge high water alarms, engine control, anchor windlass control, trim tabs controls, and electronics as detailed in the electronics section of this presentation.

34' Mainship Aftdeck

The aftdeck offers a hardtop, non-skid deck, same-level access to each side deck, double aluminum & glass doors to the salon, fold-down step on each side, engine room access, storage lockers, transom gate, transom storage lockers, and a rod holder.
