About “SAVING GRACE II”

Saving Grace II was one of the last 42RSTs to be completed by Northshore in Itchenor, hull no. 46 of 50. Launched at the end of 2013 and sailed from Chichester in 2014, the yacht has been with its original owners from new.

Designed by Rob Humphreys, featuring a twin headsail rig and two-cabin layout, she can be comfortably sailed by two with generous accommodation for additional crew. Apart from the outstanding quality of build and all-round resilience at sea, Saving Grace II is blue-water specified with all the resources necessary for extended passage making.

Featuring Southerly’s unique push-button swing keel, she offers a variable draft of between 1m to 2.6m, reaching shallow estuaries and anchorages. Keel-down, upwind performance is assured and agile.

After cruising the south coast of England, the Channel Islands and France, Saving Grace II sailed to Portugal in 2016 and onto Spain in 2017, spending a total of 4 years in the area. Returning to the UK in 2021, the yacht has been professionally maintained and is in impeccable condition. Comprehensive service records provide documentary evidence of the care and attention invested in maintaining this outstanding yacht.

The interior layout features two generous cabins, a raised saloon, substantial galley, aft and forward heads with ensuite shower cubicle, with the option of converting the saloon into a double berth. She also benefits from many of the refinements developed over the production lifespan, such as upgraded interior design, insulated cabin ceilings and inset lighting. The inclusion of owner-specified vertical tri-lights to the aft cabin add a unique signature to the bespoke quality of this outstanding yacht.

SPECIFICATION DETAILS:

The keel box is an integral part of the hull lay-up and sandwich construction stiffening runs the entire length of the hull topsides. All main bulkheads are bonded into the hull at main lay-up stage along with the stiffening grillage of transverse frames and longitudinal stringers. The engine bearers are also an integral part of the hull structure. A teak rubbing strake with stainless steel strip is fitted to the hull topsides.
