Ona II is a beautifully restored 1931 Dunkirk Little Ship, now offered for sale with Henley Sales and Charter. She represents a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally restored historic vessel, combining original character with modern reliability.
By 2024, Ona II had spent over five years ashore on the outskirts of Paris and required a full restoration. She was purchased sight unseen through Henley Sales and Charter and immediately committed to a comprehensive, no-expense-spared twelve-month rebuild, undertaken with the clear aim of returning her to correct period condition while ensuring long-term usability. The project was completed in time for her debut at the 85th anniversary of Dunkirk.
Ona II has been structurally renewed for long-term ownership and is one of the finest examples of a restored Dunkirk Little Ship currently available. The restoration was carried out by Dennetts of Chertsey, award-winning specialists in classic craft restorationShe is fitted with modern systems throughout, including twin new Yanmar diesel engines, a Paguro generator, and Garmin navigation equipment, offering reliability without compromising her classic identity.
The interior is traditional yet remarkably spacious for a 36-foot vessel. The wheelhouse is generous and well laid out, leading forward to an open-plan galley with induction hob, oven, and ample storage. The saloon features two full-length six-foot berths either side of a bespoke table inlaid with her emblem. Forward is a well-designed heads and shower, while aft of the wheelhouse is a snug double cabin with wardrobe space. Original-style raised and fielded panels have been faithfully recreated throughout, maintaining her authentic appearance.
Ona II comfortably accommodates four guests. An external helm position allows for relaxed summer cruising, and the foredeck provides ample space for entertaining. Headroom has been kept true to her original design, preserving her exterior proportions and classic profile.
