The PowerBoat Guide had this to say:
A popular model, the Camargue 55 helped define the Sunseeker reputation in this country for aggressive styling, luxurious accommodations, and exciting open-water performance. The Camargue was an impressive yacht when she came out in 1994 with deck and cabin accommodations that could only be described as opulent. The spacious cockpit, which consumes about half of the boat’s length, provides seating for three at the helm along with a mid-cockpit dinette and a huge aft sun lounge. Beneath the sun lounge is a garage for a tender or jet bike with an electric winch for launch and recovery. Below deck, the Camargue’s three- stateroom interior was updated in 1995 when a curved galley and dinette replaced the original U-shaped galley and dinette. In both configurations, the blend of high-gloss cherry woodwork, expensive galley appliances, and plush furnishings can only be described as lush. Additional features include a teak cockpit sole, bow storage locker, radar arch, and a hot/cold transom shower. Among several diesel options, twin 760hp 8V92 Detroits cruise the 55 Camargue in the high 20s and reach 30+ knots top.
