Designed by Kaj Gustafsson and built by Nauticat Yachts Oy in Finland, the Nauticat 44 is a popular, centre wheelhouse long-distance blue water cruising yacht. Sloop rigged with a long keel. Clear and open foredeck and uncluttered side decks make for easy sailing. Large centre wheelhouse with ample seating offers full protection from the elements. The functional, well-appointed, and spacious interior layout with its large aft cabin and plenty of windows for light and ventilation gives a roomy feel and a pleasant live-aboard experience for up to eight people. Many traditional wood features add to this appeal.

Great visibility with 360 vista views from the inside steering station and plenty of room in the Pilothouse for guests to be part of the cruising.
Incredible Aft Owner's stateroom with centerline queen and en-suite head with complete separate shower compartment opposite the head.
Aft cabin provides complete privacy and separation from the large forward guest cabin with adjacent 2nd head. The large salon settee makes for great family cruising and converts to an additional double berth for extra guests.
The mid ships cabin has double and single bunks and can be converted to a couch by simply tilting down the single bunk. A big galley with stand up fridge, and separate freezer, lots of counter space and storage, also an electric induction state of the art cooker powered by either shore power or generator: safer: no gas on board (note outboard is also electric so no petrol either. Key Safety feature IMHO). Old gas cooker available if wanted. Two burner with oven Eberspacher B5LC Blown air heating.
She also has a freezer, and two fridges, one top loading, one door loading. And a deep ocean water maker (desalinator) which is not commissioned but can be.

Raffi has only had Three owners from new.
First owner kept her in Italy and she was very well maintained by him.
Second owner has owned her for 15 years. His comments to follow: "She is an excellent sea-going yacht with good turn of sailing speed and the very reliable 135 hp Perkin gives a good 7 to 8 knots at 1700 revs. The V shape hull gives no slamming like modern yachts and the pilot house makes her a very comfortable boat for all weathers. Engine oil and fuel filters changed every year irrespective of last season hours. Gearbox oil changed and filter cleaned every two years. All engine servicing completed by the owner with some invoices providing proof of filter replacements."
