Overview:
MovinOn is hull number one of the acclaimed Nordhavn 43 series, a model developed in the wake of the groundbreaking 2000–2001 Nordhavn 40 circumnavigation. Designed as a worthy successor to the legendary Nordhavn 46, the N43 was built with the serious passagemaker in mind—an ideal two-stateroom, two-head trawler purpose-built for owner-operators seeking comfort and autonomy on long-distance voyages.
With her striking profile, MovinOn stands out thanks to her flybridge and dual stabilization systems, including paravanes and NAIAD active fins. Redundancy is a theme throughout—twin propulsion systems (Lugger main engine with dry stack exhaust and a Yanmar wing engine), backup electrical systems (AGM batteries with inverter and charger), and generous fuel capacity (1,200 gallons across twin fiberglass tanks with sight glasses) that delivers an impressive 3,000 nautical mile range.
Onboard comfort is equally prioritized. A Northern Lights generator and air conditioning support livability, while refrigeration needs are met by Sub-Zero and Vitrifrigo units. Laundry is handled by a Splendide combo washer/dryer, and a high-capacity watermaker keeps freshwater topped up for extended time offshore.
The entry-level saloon and galley area are welcoming and well-appointed. Large windows brighten the space, with settees on both sides offering storage below. A custom teak dining table is the centerpiece. The galley is intelligently laid out and fully equipped with a propane stove/oven, microwave, trash compactor, and abundant storage.
The pilothouse, accessed via a short staircase, is a hub of navigation and comfort. A Stidd helm chair faces a thoughtfully arranged dash of navigation and communications equipment. A settee and watch berth aft make this a prime space for both command and company. Dutch doors to port and starboard provide direct access to the decks.
Below, accommodations include a forward guest stateroom with three berths and a shared head, while the midship owner’s suite—located in the vessel’s most stable area—features an island berth, ensuite head with separate shower, and ample storage.
The engine room is accessed from the owner’s cabin and offers excellent headroom and maneuverability for inspections and maintenance. The lazarette, entered via the cockpit, houses steering gear, batteries, watermaker, inverter, and more.
Outside, MovinOn continues to impress. A custom extended swim platform makes boarding easy, while the cockpit provides access from three sides and includes a freshwater shower, storage, and rod holders. The side deck leads to the Portuguese bridge and foredeck, where ground tackle is easily managed via a robust Maxwell windlass and Bruce anchor. The boat deck, accessed via steps on the port side, includes a Highfield RIB with Honda outboard, paravane rig, and electric boom winches.
Up top, the flybridge offers dual helm chairs, a folding Bimini, and full navigation and engine controls for commanding the vessel in fair weather.
The Nordhavn 43 is a full-displacement trawler engineered for serious ocean-crossing capability. Designed with purpose and practicality, her systems and layout support long-term, self-sufficient cruising. The interior showcases Nordhavn’s hallmark craftsmanship—beautiful teak joinery, granite countertops, and a classic blend of white laminate accents and teak-and-spruce soles. Large windows, overhead hatches, portlights, and dorade vents bring in light and fresh air, while air conditioning throughout ensures comfort in all climates. MovinOn’s layout offers a smooth, intuitive flow from one living space to the next.
Exclusions: Potential purchasers should assume that items on the vessel at the time of viewing, but not specifically listed on this sheet, are not included with the sale of the yacht. These specifications are believed to be true and correct but cannot be guaranteed. Items excluded include, but are not limited to Paintings, tools, handheld nav gear and binoculars. Owner’s personal effects and clothing will be removed prior to closing.
Entry to the salon is through a sturdy Diamond SeaGlaze Dutch door from the cockpit. This level blends seamlessly with the adjacent galley to port, forming a practical and sociable living space. Ultra Leather settees to port and starboard provide both seating and additional sleeping options, with storage beneath. Teak-and-spruce floors are protected by removable carpet tiles, and a large teak table with a starburst inlay serves as the saloon’s centerpiece—ideal for dining or relaxing at anchor.
Aft to port, a flat-screen UHD smart TV and Denon surround sound system create a cozy media nook. Just forward, tucked beneath the pilothouse stairs, is a locker housing the Splendide vented combination washer/dryer. New Hunter Douglas blinds (installed July 2025) add both privacy and style.
Salon Features:
Located forward to port, the galley is efficiently designed for preparing meals underway or at anchor. It features a full suite of appliances, plenty of countertop space, and abundant storage in lockers and drawers. All refrigeration has been upgraded for modern efficiency, including Sub-Zero and Vitrifrigo drawer-style units and a dedicated chest freezer on the boat deck.
Galley Features:
Ascending from the main level, the pilothouse serves as MovinOn’s command center—designed for safety, visibility, and comfort whether underway or on watch at anchor. The Stidd helm chair offers an ergonomic vantage point over a logically arranged dash housing the vessel’s full suite of navigation, communication, and operational systems. All controls are clearly labeled and within reach, with breakers and displays smartly positioned for efficiency.
The pilothouse is also a favorite gathering spot. Aft of the helm is a built-in settee and a fixed teak table, ideal for companions to share the journey or enjoy a quiet watch. A sliding berth converts this space into a functional off-watch rest area. The atmosphere is climate-controlled via air conditioning, and two Diamond SeaGlaze Dutch doors offer immediate access to the side decks.
For added provisioning capacity, two stainless-steel Vitrifrigo drawer units are conveniently located under the watch berth.

Staterooms Overview:
Below deck, MovinOn offers two well-appointed staterooms and two heads, designed for both privacy and comfort on extended cruises. The guest quarters are located forward, while the owner’s suite is positioned amidships—an optimal location for motion comfort while underway. Each cabin includes ample storage, ventilation, and classic teak-and-spruce soles.
Guest Stateroom (Forward)
Configured to sleep three, the forward stateroom is ideal for visiting family or crew. To port are over/under single bunks, while a single berth to starboard provides added flexibility. Natural light and airflow come from overhead hatches and portlights, while a dedicated head with shower is just aft.

Owner Stateroom (Midship)
Positioned at the center of the boat for the most stable ride, the owner’s cabin is a private, quiet retreat with generous headroom and thoughtful storage. The island berth faces athwartships with a custom mattress and nightstands on each side. Two large hanging lockers, numerous drawers, and a mirrored forward bulkhead add to the feeling of spaciousness. An ensuite head and separate shower compartment complete the suite.

Electronics:
Accessed via a teak-faced door with viewing window in the owner’s stateroom, the engine room aboard MovinOn is spacious, well-ventilated, and designed for easy inspections and routine maintenance. The layout reflects Nordhavn’s engineering philosophy—prioritizing redundancy, reliability, and access. The keel-cooled Lugger main engine features a dry stack exhaust, while a Yanmar wing engine provides backup propulsion. Fuel is gravity-fed from twin fiberglass tanks into a forward supply tank, with Racor filters and a polished manifold system.
Engine Room Features:
Entered via a large hatch in the cockpit, the lazarette houses key support systems and offers ample space for spares and storage. This compartment includes steering gear, air conditioning units, the watermaker, batteries, and inverter/charger. The lazarette layout maximizes utility while still allowing for easy access to essential systems.
Lazarette Features:
MovinOn’s cockpit and swim platform are designed for practicality, safety, and convenience—whether boarding from a dinghy, entertaining guests, or handling lines. The extended swim platform includes a deep-reach swim ladder and transom shower. Boarding is possible from port, starboard, and aft thanks to three gated access points. The cockpit features storage, a varnished teak cap rail, and mounts for fishing gear and a grill.
Swim Platform & Cockpit Features:
Moving forward along the starboard side deck, you’ll find wide, protected walkways with sturdy stainless steel rails. The Portuguese bridge wraps around the front of the pilothouse, offering additional protection and access to the foredeck through a hinged gate. Port-side steps lead up to the boat deck.
Side Deck & Bridge Features:
The foredeck is set up for safe and efficient anchoring with a robust ground tackle system. A large Maxwell windlass sits atop a guttered anchor well, and the chain locker is accessed through a Freeman hatch. There’s ample ventilation with dorade scoops and overhead hatches, plus deck boxes and space for a mounted life raft.
Foredeck Features:
The expansive boat deck offers secure railings, ample storage, and a clever setup for managing both the dinghy and the paravane system. The main mast supports the dry stack exhaust and is fitted with a rotating boom and electric winches. The dinghy is stowed athwartships on raised mounts, leaving space underneath for extra gear. A large dock box and chest freezer complete this functional working space.
Boat Deck Features:
Up a few steps from the boat deck is the flybridge—a commanding perch for fair-weather navigation or scenic cruising. Two helm chairs and a compact center jump seat provide seating, all shaded by a collapsible Bimini top. Controls mirror those in the pilothouse, allowing for full vessel operation from above.
