The most experienced diesel mechanics and captains would prefer to embark on a voyage around the world with a proven 1100 hour engine that had its 1000 hour service than one with half of the hours, as the 1100 hour engine is proven. The pods were just rebuilt ($30k), the bottom was just painted and all Volvo services are current.
