Custom 30` Noordzeekotter ‘WR 134’

Boat Description

This beautiful Noordzeekotter, built in 1960 by Scheepswerf Metz in Urk, has a rich maritime history. The ship began its career as UK 17 ‘Jelle’ and in 1966 transferred to shipping company De Rooy in Zeeland, where it operated as NZ 21 ‘Magdalena’. Later, it was taken over by Firma Zomerdijk in Den Oever and registered as WR 134.

Current Status

Today, the ship no longer serves as a shrimp cutter but has been expertly converted by the current owner into a classic motor yacht with the possibility of permanent habitation. After the purchase in 2008, the kotter was completely stripped and rebuilt. The hull was sandblasted and coated by Hooghiemstra in Uitwellingerga, while the interior was fully re-fitted in 2009 by Firma De Vries in IJlst.

Specifications

With a length of 15.50 meters, the ship offers space for six sleeping places, a fully equipped galley, and a wet cell with an electric toilet and shower. The Volvo Penta 135 HP diesel engine and modern navigation equipment, including Raymarine GPS/plotter, radar, and AIS, make this ship perfect for long journeys.
