The Rolex GMT-Master II reference 16710 was produced from 1989 to 2007, succeeding the “Fat Lady” (ref. 16760) and introducing a slimmer case and three bezel color options: “Pepsi” (red and blue), “Coke” (red and black), and all-black.

The watch featured the Caliber 3185 movement, and its design and features evolved during its production run, including changes to the dial lume (tritium to Super-LumiNova), bracelet end links, and the eventual inclusion of the Caliber 3186 movement in late models.
