The Tag Heuer Carrera CAL1887 CAR2111-3 represents a significant milestone in the brand’s history, housing the first movement to be produced in-house by Tag Heuer. Housed in a refined 41mm polished stainless steel case, this timepiece pays homage to the 1963 original designed by Jack Heuer, while offering the technical advancements required by the modern collector.

The heart of the watch is the Calibre 1887, an integrated column-wheel chronograph movement that oscillates at 28,800 vph, allowing for precision timing down to 1/4th of a second. The CAR2111-3 variant is distinguished by its crisp silver sunray dial, featuring three sub-dials (chronograph hours, minutes, and running seconds) and a discrete date window at 6 o’clock. Designed for both the racetrack and the boardroom, it features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment and an exhibition caseback that showcases the intricate oscillating weight and column wheel mechanism.
