The Transpac 49 was built in Taiwan by the Transpacific Marine Company Ltd which was owned and run by two US owners. The boats were built for ocean cruising and offer a strong hull construction of solid hand-laid fiberglass. The interior layout offers a huge main cabin, large galley, aft master stateroom, two guest cabins, two head compartments with showers and a workroom adjacent to the engine.

I am particularly familiar with the Transpac 49 building practices they are throughout and reinforced. Transpac 49 are very high on the list of desirable world cruising sailboats.
